Qualitative Insights Analyst - Life Sciences

Role Overview

Our Analyst, Qualitative Insights plays an important role in supporting projects that deliver fresh, strategic insights that get to the heart of questions for healthcare brands and audiences. Working closely with Client Managers (business development/client relationship owner), Project Managers (logistics), and senior Insights team members, Analysts support qualitative execution, analysis, and the development of high-quality deliverables.

This role is ideal for someone early in their qualitative research career who is continuing to build skills across project execution, healthcare learning, and insight development while working under the guidance of more experienced team members.

This role can be performed remotely but is likely to involve up to 25–30% travel, primarily domestic US, but could include international.

Base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000. If this is not the right range for you, please check out our other openings. This position is 100% remote (you must be based in the United States).

Responsibilities:

Qualitative Research Support

  • Work closely with Client Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Insights team members to support qualitative study approaches and methodologies
  • Build foundational knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem, including patients, HCPs, and broader market dynamics, while developing familiarity across therapeutic areas and client businesses
  • Support qualitative ways of working and team effectiveness through curiosity, strong organization, and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches, including AI-enabled tools that support efficiency, synthesis, and insight development

Research Execution

  • Support day-to-day execution of qualitative projects by assisting with research materials such as screeners, discussion guides, and stimuli
  • Attend and support focus groups, IDIs, and other qualitative methodologies, both live and remote, including online qualitative approaches and AI-enabled customer insight methods where appropriate
  • Assist with live fieldwork execution by supporting backroom logistics, and client coordination
  • Build comfort engaging with patient and HCP vernacular across therapeutic areas
  • Support client communication on assigned projects with professionalism, under the direction of more senior team members

Insights Development

  • Review qualitative data to identify key themes, insights, and implications, leveraging AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support synthesis and speed to insight
  • Contribute to clear, well-structured client-ready deliverables, including reports, executive summaries, emails, and presentation materials, with guidance
  • Create polished PowerPoint, Word, and other client-ready materials with strong attention to detail, clear writing, and an emerging ability to shape story architecture
  • Deliver portions of findings in debriefs and presentations, with support from more senior team members, while continuing to build confidence in client-facing storytelling

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology, marketing, anthropology, or a related field required. Advanced degree a plus, particularly in a healthcare-related discipline
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in market research; qualitative research in healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or broader Life Sciences sectors is highly preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn new therapeutic areas and engage comfortably in patient and HCP vernacular
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to organize information clearly
  • Strong written communication skills and emerging presentation capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
  • Collaborative, proactive, curious, and eager to learn
  • Flexibility to work outside of typical business hours and ability to travel domestically and, if needed, internationally. Travel expected to be around 25% to 30%.
