Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Marketing Communications will play a critical role within the Marketing Operations leadership team, driving content quality, performance optimization, and AI-led marketing execution across owned, earned, and paid channels.
This role blends editorial excellence, analytical rigor, and AI-first thinking. The individual will be responsible for auditing and optimizing content, owning end-to-end social media execution, shaping LLM-driven content strategies, supporting paid media copywriting, and contributing directly to organic and AI search visibility, fueling qualified traffic and MQLs for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Content Auditing, Hygiene & Optimization
Conduct regular content audits across website pages, blogs, social channels, and paid assets to assess relevance, performance, consistency, and accuracy.
Lead content hygiene checks, including messaging alignment, brand voice consistency, SEO best practices, AI-readiness, and outdated content remediation.
Identify content gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities aligned to business priorities and funnel stages.
Establish content quality benchmarks and optimization frameworks to ensure high editorial and performance standards.
Content Strategy, Editorial Leadership & LLM Enablement
Drive content optimization strategy across owned, social, and paid channels to improve engagement, discoverability, and conversion.
Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, credibility, and differentiation—especially for insight-led and thought leadership content.
Develop and operationalize LLM-enabled content strategies, including prompts, templates, and review workflows.
Ensure AI-generated or AI-assisted content meets quality, compliance, and brand standards.
Organic & AI Search Visibility (Traffic & MQL Growth)
Contribute to organic search and AI search visibility strategies to increase qualified traffic and MQL generation.
Optimize content for traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery platforms (e.g., generative search, LLM-based answers).
Partner with SEO and demand teams to align content with keywords, search intent, and emerging AI search behaviors.
Track content performance against traffic, engagement, and MQL impact, using insights to guide ongoing optimization.
Social Media (End-to-End Ownership)
Own end-to-end social media strategy and execution across priority platforms (LinkedIn, X, etc.).
Plan, write, edit, publish, and optimize social content aligned to campaigns, thought leadership, and demand objectives.
Monitor performance metrics and refine messaging, formats, and cadence based on insights.
Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and narrative across social channels.
Paid Media & Performance Copywriting
Write and optimize Google Ads and paid social copy focused on relevance, quality score, and conversion.
Develop and test messaging variants aligned to audience intent and funnel stages.
Collaborate with performance marketing teams to ensure alignment between ad copy, keywords, and landing page content.
AI Strategy, Adoption & Best Practices
Lead AI adoption initiatives within Marketing Operations, with a strong focus on content, communications, and productivity.
Identify, document, and scale AI use cases across content creation, editing, optimization, and insights.
Develop best practices, governance guidelines, and workflows for responsible LLM usage.
Act as a connector between marketing, analytics, and technology teams to operationalize AI-led solutions.
Analytics, Measurement & Insights
Measure content performance across owned, social, paid, organic, and AI search channels.
Translate data into actionable insights to guide content optimization and prioritization.
Build dashboards or reporting frameworks that link content efforts to traffic, engagement, and MQL outcomes.
Support leadership with insights, experimentation learnings, and optimization recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Background
6–9 years of experience in marketing communications, content strategy, or performance content roles.
Strong experience in content auditing, optimization, editing, and copywriting.
Hands-on experience managing social media and paid media copy (Google Ads preferred).
Exposure to or strong interest in AI, LLMs, and emerging search behaviors.
Core Skills
Exceptional writing, editing, and content optimization capabilities.
Strong understanding of SEO, organic growth, AI search visibility, and performance metrics.
Ability to balance creative storytelling with analytical decision-making.
Comfortable using AI tools for content creation, optimization, and analysis.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
