Role Overview

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Accounting Team who is proactive, self-directed with strong organizational and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a high-growth global environment that spans across various systems and processes. You’ll work cross-functionally and collaborate with key business partners to support existing and new business initiatives, while ensuring that processes adhere to GAAP and internal controls you’ll have a part in developing.

100% Remote position - requires ability to work independently and within a team. Occasional travel may be required. Must be flexible in adapting to a non-routine and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the month and year-end close process by preparing journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, account reconciliations, and variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Responsible for lease accounting under ASC 842 including recording and reconciling sub-lease rental income
  • Responsible for the recording, tracking, and reconciliation of rebates from vendors
  • Responsible for the accounting of fixed and intangible assets and related depreciation expense
  • Ensure all interbank cash transfers and other bank transactions are recorded monthly
  • Review and upload foreign subsidiary financial statements monthly into ERP system
  • Work with multiple domestic and foreign subsidiaries in reconciling and recording monthly intercompany transactions and cross charges
  • Support FP&A team in preparation of financial information for quarterly business reviews
  • Assist in quarterly lender reporting and reconciliations
  • Perform technical accounting research and application as needed
  • Assist in the Company’s annual audit and tax return preparation
  • Assist in or manage special ad hoc projects and process improvements
  • Responsible for preparation of various tax and governmental filings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience with strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Possesses advanced Excel skills and strong working experience with ERP and Consolidation/Reporting software

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA /CA preferred, or in process
  • Public accounting experience (Audit)
  • Experience at a multi-national company
  • ERP experience with NetSuite
